GUIDING STAR ORCHESTRA – Natural Heights

Guiding Star Orchestra is a collective of musicians from Copenhagen area in Denmark. The vision manifested itself with a small group of musicians (including some well known Danish jazz players) inspired by the spirit of original roots reggae music and their dream of gathering all the musicians needed to record songs live and direct simultaneously in the studio. The album was recorded in 2016 over a period of 8 days completely without use of digital technology. When you record without possibility of post-editing and cutting, you have to focus on the most important thing – which is the vibe. This has been philosophy of all recording sessions thus far and in the future.
This album contains 12 instrumental, heavily jazz influenced roots reggae riddims with full horn section backed with dub versions. Put it on your turntable and enjoy.,
