Comment Alric Forbes was a singer, producer and musician based in Trenchtown in Kingston Jamaica where he moved in 1969. He was living in Yabby You neighbourhood with whom he formed The Prophets and was part of the band responsible for one of the biggest hits released by Jesus Dread. In 80s he moved to US where he toured with The Gladiators and later formed the band called The Defenders among others with Clinton Fearon. This one is a tuff 1978 original roots steppers with distinctive guitar solo released on Forbes label. (Repressed in 2012 by Onlyroots and still around) Forbes singing about every morning train ride probably the one from Kingston which was one of the first train lines in West Indies. It was a single track railroad with services to Montego Bay, Port Antonio, Ewarton and Frankfield. Kingston station terminus building is still standing in the city built in Jamaican Georgian architecture style is worth checking if you’re in town. It was closed in 1992 but still lives in memories of many musicians and Jamaican citizens.
